Our lead tech visits your Toronto or GTA property with glass swatches (12mm vs 15mm), wood grain boards and iron patina samples, then laser-measures rise, run and stringer angles.

Permit-Ready CAD Drawings and OBC Compliance
We draw every project to OBC Section 9.8 (residential) or Section 3.4 (commercial): 900-965mm handrail height, 100mm max baluster spacing, 42-inch guard on drops over 600mm. You approve every reveal before metal is cut. We never promise permit approval.

In-Shop Fabrication in Etobicoke
Under founder Michael Bennett's supervision our crew mills rough-sawn hardwood, TIG and MIG welds every metal joint and dry-fits full spans on shop jigs at our 6,000 sq ft Etobicoke facility.

Where Our Shop Started, and What We Build There Now
Vaughan is where the shop started, in a rented Woodbridge unit in 2003. The city itself was stitched together in 1974 from Woodbridge, Kleinburg-Nashville, Maple and Thornhill, and each old village still asks for a different kind of stair.
Kleinburg's custom builder network brings grand curved foyers; we built 12 of them in 2024. Woodbridge families often want Italian-style scrollwork forged from a photo or a sketch, and Thornhill leans toward modern spigot and standoff glass.
All four old villages are Heritage Conservation Districts, so exterior porch and step railings there can need a heritage review. We draw the design, forge a test scroll and bring it to you before the rest is made. Crews come up Highway 427 from Etobicoke.
Vaughan Homes We Build For
Kleinburg (L4H) means big foyers and curved staircases. In 2024 we built 12 grand foyer stairs for the Kleinburg custom builder network, including a $28,400 curved white oak stair with frameless glass installed in seven working days after the original contractor walked off.
Woodbridge (L4L) is Italian wrought iron country. Families often bring a sketch or a photo of a railing from back home, and we forge the scrolls, collars and baskets to match, then powder-coat them in matte black or antique bronze.
Thornhill (L4J) leans modern: spigot glass on stairs and landings, straight-bar iron and white oak treads.
Concord (L4K) production homes usually need an upgrade rather than a rebuild. Swapping spindles for iron or glass and refinishing the treads changes the whole look in a few days.
From Etobicoke to Vaughan
Vaughan jobs are a straight run up Highway 427 from the shop. Woodbridge and Concord are 20-25 minutes out; Kleinburg is a little further up Highway 27 or Islington Avenue. Thornhill work comes across Highway 7 or the 407.
For new builds with the Kleinburg builder network we work to the builder's schedule: templating right after drywall, install after floors, with shop drawings issued early so the framer can add blocking for floating treads and glass fixings.
Permits go through City of Vaughan Building Standards. We supply permit-ready CAD drawings and answer examiner questions, but approval is the City's call.
