Every aluminum system below is cut from 6063-T6 extrusions, drilled, assembled and oven-cured in powder coat at our Etobicoke shop, alongside the glass, iron and wood staircase railings we build for Toronto homes. Site work is bolt-up only.
Powder-Coated Deck Rails
Posts, top and bottom rails and infill for backyard decks, porches and stairs. Surface-mounted or fascia-mounted, in black, white, bronze or a custom colour.
Picket-Style
The classic vertical picket at code spacing, our most affordable railing at the low end of the $75-$155 band. Picket spacing is set at 100mm or less, and guard height at 42 inches on any drop over 600mm.
Glass-in-Aluminum-Frame
Clear tempered glass panels held in a powder-coated aluminum frame with a top rail. You keep the view without the cost of frameless glass.
Condo Balcony
Full balcony railing replacement for individual owners and whole-building programs, with board-ready drawings, colour samples, elevator booking and property manager coordination.
Commercial Extrusions
Guards and handrails for storefronts, patios, ramps and low-rise commercial buildings, in heavier extrusions with commercial anchoring.
A Recent Job: One Day on a Mimico Balcony
Chris lives in a Mimico condo facing the lake, and his old steel balcony railing was bubbling rust through the paint. The board wanted drawings and a colour sample before anyone touched it, and the property manager wanted the elevator booked two weeks out. We handled both, like we do everytime. The railing was cut, assembled and coated in our shop ten minutes away, then carried up in three pre-assembled sections. It was done in one day, 18 lin ft of black aluminum with glass infill. Code and Detail Notes
Aluminum guards are drawn to OBC 9.8: a 42-inch guard on any drop over 600mm, 100mm maximum spacing and handrails at 900-965mm on stairs. We use 6063-T6 aluminum extrusions with AAMA 2604 grade powder coat, surface mount posts or fascia mount brackets depending on the slab, and anchor details that suit concrete or wood framing.
