An aluminum railing is a guard system built from extruded aluminum posts, rails and pickets or glass infill, finished in oven-cured powder coat so it will not rust. Staircase Railings Toronto cuts, assembles and coats aluminum systems in our 6,000 sq ft Etobicoke facility for decks, porches, condo balconies and commercial frontages. Aluminum guards are drawn to OBC 9.8: a 42-inch guard on any drop over 600mm, 100mm maximum spacing and handrails at 900-965mm on stairs. We use **6063-T6 aluminum extrusions** with **AAMA 2604** grade powder coat, **surface mount posts** or **fascia mount** brackets depending on the slab, and anchor details that suit concrete or wood framing.

    Our lead tech visits your Toronto or GTA property with glass swatches (12mm vs 15mm), wood grain boards and iron patina samples, then laser-measures rise, run and stringer angles.
    
    We bring powder-coat colour chips, picket and glass infill samples, and for condos we meet the property manager on site.
    
2.  Step 2
    
    ### Permit-Ready CAD Drawings and OBC Compliance
    
    We draw every project to OBC Section 9.8 (residential) or Section 3.4 (commercial): 900-965mm handrail height, 100mm max baluster spacing, 42-inch guard on drops over 600mm. You approve every reveal before metal is cut. We never promise permit approval.
    
    Drawings show post spacing, surface or fascia mounting and guard height, formatted for board and property manager approval.
    
3.  Step 3

5.  Step 5
    
    ### On-Site Install and Walkthrough
    
    Clean assembly on site, usually 1 to 4 days, with a vacuumed stair run and a maintenance walkthrough. Trust us, you're in good hands.
